About Amazon Q Developer
Amazon Q Developer does the usual completion and chat, but its real advantage is that it knows AWS: it writes and reviews CloudFormation and CDK, explains an IAM policy, diagnoses a failing Lambda and suggests cost reductions from your actual bill. It also runs code transformations, such as upgrading a Java codebase across major versions. Outside the AWS context it is a competent but unremarkable assistant.
